Absolute Zero

This economical apparatus demonstrates the relationship between the temperature and pressure of a gas, and illustrates the meaning and approximate value of absolute zero. A sealed volume connected to an absolute reading pressure gauge is immersed in liquid nitrogen, ice water, and boiling water to give three widely spread points on a temperature versus pressure graph which can be extrapolated to give an indication of absolute zero.
